Did You See It?

OK I probably shouldn't tell you this.   You will either think I am completely bonkers.   Or you will start looking for this too.
It started Earlier this week  when I was on my way home for lunch.   I travel the same road  usually four times a day  and had never seen this before.   But there it was.   A  gift bag hanging in a tree just off the road.   It appeared to have been perfectly placed there, as it was hanging just right.   It wasn't upside down or crooked.   But hanging by the handles and turned  in such a fashion that it was completely visible from the road.
Of course my imagination took over.   Was it filled with money?    Had anyone else seen it?   I was just sure they had not seen it or they would have gotten it already.    And as this has been a particularly warm week I watched the bag as it hung on a bare  limb that turned into a beautiful blooming tree.
Up until now I have only told one person.    And unless you were watching me very closely you probably couldn't guess where it is.   And why have I not stopped to get it you ask?    Well there are a couple of reasons.
First of all there are some briars  underneath it.  Plus I would have to stop on a busy road and people would see me.   I'm also 5'2" tall and, even though the bag looks like it's not that high up, I have a feeling that  when I get closer to it  it will be at least 10 feet off the ground.
For a while my curiosity consumed me.   I even considered calling the police to make sure that when I took my find into possession it would legally be mine.   Plus I thought they might help me get it out of the tree.
But the more I thought about it the more I realized that it was more fun dreaming about it than actually having that bag.   Perhaps instead of money it held a love letter  composed from a broken heart.   Or maybe someone wrote their confession  to some horrible crime and put it in the bag and hung there in the hopes that it would  somehow take away their guilt and shame.   Maybe it held nothing more then old receipts.
Or maybe it held nothing more than air.   But for me it has provided a week of curiosity and expectation as I look for it each day and every time I pass by.   And I can't help but dream of the day it is announced on the local news that some  down and out person was walking by that area and saw the bag and took it from the tree and......  well .....  like me,  you can imagine the rest of the story.
